Christmas Caroll and Holy Communion Service 24.12.2010

Christmas Eve, this year St' Columba Church held it at Mega Hotel Ballroom as our present church is under renovation... The ballroom was full with congregation, those who came are faithful servant of God, some are seasonal servant (laban meda mua sida iya maia Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday & Easter Sunday); anywhere am not to judge them because it's their relationship, faith with God... New faces who came from afar to join the service that night were given a small token from the church.

A special event to remember; instead of lighting the candles like we usually did in church, this time since we celebrate it in a hotel ballroom, we are given "glowing sticks" to flash across the ballroom and "A Thousand Candles" were sang as the priests enter the ballroom to begin the Christmas Eve service. First readings read from Luke 1:26: The Angel Visits Mary, followed by Christmas song "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear"; as the readings continue, Christmas songs were sung in between.. about 20 Christmas songs were sang. the Christmas Eve service begins..8:00 p.m.
Solo song "Mary did you know?" this song touches my heart Puppet Dance title "Light of the World" by Creative Arts & Dance Ministryline-up to receive Holy Sacrament.. seen Father Michael Pei Priests at the "alter' preparing the Holy Sacrament

The sermon given by Rev. Solomon Chong on Christmas are three (3) beautiful messages: (1) Christmas brings a renewed light of hope and peace. (2) Come not to just fill the seat but to fill your heart and mind of the good news of Jesus Christ and (3) Be home for Christmas. (means from today onwards, put Jesus at the centre of the house, let him live in us and in our family). came with my daughter & mom
Owh! siapa lagi??? tak usah di perkenalkan..

Recall my teenage years, I've always participated in a "Nativity Play" on Christmas Eve mid-night mass or else I'll be in the Choirs; on Christmas morning, I'll be sitting at the side of the altar...as a 'server" to serve the Priests... really miss those times, as I was very active with church activities.. how I wish I can turn the time? (will always treasure those moments in my life). By God's willing, will be back to serve the Lord.
