Pre-Election Course @ Eastwood Valley:20 & 21.01.11

I missed the 1st and 2nd sessions held last year, so I was re-nominated to attend for the 3rd and 4th session. I and Mimie (Asst. Treasurer) represented Wanita PRS Pujut Div. 1st day registeration at 2:00 p.m followed Taklimat by Ybhg Datuk Abu Bin Khamis (Setiausha Eksekutif BN).. after the Taklimat participants were divided into 2 group (Siri 3 and Siri 4). I was selected under Siri 4 group.. Our first Ceramah was on Cyber War (Perang Siber) was given by Tun Faisal Ismai Aziz (Pemuda BN) from 3:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m; very interesting info; Opposition are iT literate, thru' internet they influenced the people, as for BN it is thru' newspapers, radio and Tv; only now BN started to take iT seriously as their tools to influence the people. From 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. we had our tea-break and dinner prepared by Eastwood Valley.. laban ke enggai miss episode "Bukan Diri Ku" berumban aku pulai ke rumah, meda cerita Indon dulu.... 8:00 p.m. aku drive to Eastwood Valley to attend Ceramah 2: Penguasaan Isu Semasa Offensif dan Defensif/Simulasi Bantahan / Sidang Akhbar Selepas Bantahan, given by Lokman Noor Adam (Pemuda BN).. Lokman tu was a former PKR a strong supporter for DSAI.. udah kena tangkap ISA 2 kali.. and now iya masuk BN baru... what he shared with us that nite very informative and we know the PKR's objective and mission...apuuuuuuuuu an "eye-opener" laban Lokman shared from his own personal experience with PKR & DSAI... enda tau di padah ditu.. sensitive issue!! I did not attend the Demontrasi Penunjuk Perasaan/Simulasi Bantahan /Sidang Akhbar Selepas Bantahan session; because it was already late when I left... Before we break for the night, we were divided into 8 groups to debate on two topics each (one topic Pro-BN and the other topic Pro-Opposition) given by Lokman.. I was with group One.. our topics were ISA must be retained (Pro-BN) and BN principle is not relevant (Pro-Opposition).

2nd day we started with breakfast @ 7:00 a.m. prepared by Eastwood Valley.

Most interesting part of the Pre-Election Course.. Debating on current issues, especially when you are asked to be an Opposition... puas ketawa gasak ke Tr ke bisi "pony-tail", he always end his speech or opinion with his fav. phrase of the day "ada paham?", abis debating session aku pan kena beri orang gelaran "Datin Seri Wan Azizah" laban balat membangkang perintah...sampai Lokman madah ngagai aku, jangan kuat membangkang..laban semua soalanx2 di tuju aku ngagai sida iya, nadai ulih di saut orang dalam dewan, but rec'd a big applaused instead, (alo pimOs serta merta iEg);soalan cepumas pengebom berani mati ko bala dalam dewan, nadai siko ulih meri jawapan..hahaha (but at least BN can take note, on what are the unsatisfactory issues that have been habouring the thoughts and minds of the people all these years with BN gov't..someone got to voice it out); nya ko Lawyer Lily ke sama Team 1 enggau aku, gerenti di record sida iya soalan aku tadi.. mesti datai ba opis Home Minister... but it was a good shot ko Lawyer Lily! The debate was on "Party Rakyat or Party Keluarga" and "BN Principle is not relevant". Below: gambarx2 "Sembang Kedai Kopi" in action (debate)

End of the debate (Sembang Kedai Kopi), our Siri 4 chief and also Team 1 Chief gave souvenir and group photo taken with Mr Lokman Noor Adam.
At the end of the day all participants from BN Components are given a Certificate.. and from this course, I met a long-time friend whom I knew when I was still very active with the iban portal at RD.com and Radiokitai.com; he recognised me as induemungaya and I could not recall who he was... infact, he was Pintar...what a small world.

The two day course ended at 12 noon and all participants departed after we had lunch. So, S'wak Pilihanraya is anticipated to be held in March 2011.
