Patronal Celebration Dinner : 19.6.2011
Last Sunday, attended St Columba's Parish Patronal Celebration Dinner cum 89 Anniversary; the theme was: "Rebuild Church, Rebuild Hope", in conjunction with the church building for Tmn Tunku... which will be named St'Barnabas Church; and also the re-building St'Columba Church which is in progress.. by God's will both church should be completed in 2012. Guest of honor for the Patronal Dinner was Bishop Aeries Sumping Jingan who was accompanied by his wife.
There were more than 30 tables; and the program lined-up that night...see photos below in sequence..

After the youth group performed, all senior citizens who have served St 'Columba Church faithfully were called to the stage....55 years old & above... these are the faces (agik stidi)

Everyone were having good time, thumbs up to all the working committee to make the event a success, the evening was full with entertainment from the youth and the senior committee church members, so nice to see more youths, new breeds are involved in church activities ... Puji Tuhan. 
To wrap up the dinner, Tribute to Father's Day, cake cutting and wishing every fathers out there a blessed Father's Day...eldest father aged 86 and 81 were called to cut the cake together with Bishop Aeries. Some of the photos taken during cake cutting session..

By God's will, till we meet again next year to celebrate 90th Anniversary... since, it's just a week past Father's Day, allow me to share my personal opinion on a man called "father".. A man can have a child with any women, but it takes a real man to be a "father" who can give true happiness to his wife & children, ie.. devoted his quality time with his children, to love his wife with his heart and soul and; committed most his entire life with his work in order to provide his family with all the good things in life; I believe being a "father/daddy/apai" is not an easy task, it's a huge responsibilities, my respect & salute to all fathers ....therefore, wishing every man called father, daddy, apai out there Happy Father's Day. Stay Blessed Always.
