Next Sunday, February 14 is a very auspicious day. Under the lunar calendar, it is the beginning of the first new moon for the first month of the Chinese calendar, and is also Valentine’s Day, the hearts day celebrated worldwide

2010 Chinese New Year is a year of Tiger. Orang ke ada (born) in the year of a Tiger will have the mentioned traits in their character: Adventurous, sensitive, emotional, and risk-taking; smart, uncomplicated and friendly by nature. They have strong will power and never give-up attitude.

Traditionally, the celebrations for the Chinese New Year last up to fifteen days. During these days, the Chinese wish each other by saying "Kung Hei Fat Choy" which means having a great fortune, or "Kung Hall Sun Hei", which implies happy New Year. During the celebrations, traditions and customs are very carefully observed in everything from food to clothing.

Baka kitai ga bangsa cina, on the Eve of New Year sda mesti begempuru diri sebilik semak ke jauh tetap begulai makai.
