"Gawai Mode On"..21.05.2011

Month of May is always a special month for me... birthday of my niece, children..then Mother's Day and preparation for gawai kitai iban or dayak in S'wak. Last Saturday at 2:00 p.m.; as usual SIDS Miri gathered; cutting of cake, wished all members Happy Mother's Day and Happy Gawai Dayak and not forgetting a token was given to the care-take of Rumah Harapan, Krokop in conjuction with the gawai dayak... the care-taker have been very helpful and friendly towards us, every forthnight members of SIDS met for "ngajat class, now there are new activities besides belajar ngajat..those who loves to do beads... while the rest learnt how to chacha, pocox2...kena mansut ke peluh... really sweat out aarr.... Sila layan fotox2 taken that day.

Since gawai is around the corner, gawai mode magang bala kami.... kira ulih bai orang ngajat, betanda bala kami gawai taun tu... boleh tahan.. tingQ cikgux2 ke ngajar kami penuh enggau kesabaran... al-maklum semua muridx2 bukan muda mudi.. Birthday Treat..18.05.2011

Last Wednesday, treating my daughter, it's her 17th Birthday! She always wanted to go for a "steamboat".. since it's her birthday, I brought her to Michael Steamboat.. we went, my cousin Umang and younger son Jr came along.

Abis makai, she wanted to have fun, to release stress after 2 weeks exam in school...bendar iya belajar peda aku... dah lah nadai pegi tuition.. so belajar sendiri meh tudah tuai...arap ke semua results iya okay! off we went to funfair at Boulevard Car Park.. enda jauh ari Michael Steamboat... apa lagi she really had a great time... nasip my cousin came along to accompany her... aku tukang nyenip aja...my son bodiguard kami 3... Look how happy she is.. umur dah 17 years old but still a baby at heart.. my baby princess.

Glad she really enjoyed herself... giggles, laughing all thru with her aunty Umang... who's same age with my elder son...then she thanked me for taking her out on her birthday... after her school that day, I took her to town to get her birthday gifts...what more can a mom gave to her child, if not happiness... she's so precious to me... watching her grow up as teenager... it brings tears to me... how time really flies... Thank you dear Lord for giving me a daughter like her, may you continue to bless my precious daughter abundantly with excellent health, studies and life ahead as she continues to serve you Lord. Happy Birthday my dearest princess... Mommy loves you more than anything else in this world.. muuuaahhhsss & hugggss.

Miri Divisonal Gawai Celebration : 16.05.2011

Miri celebrates Pre-Gawai Divisional Dinner at Eastwood Valley Country & Golf Club last Monday night. As usual the hightlight of the Pre-Gawai were Keling/Kumang/Keligit Contest.. 6 Contestants each from Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu chosen for the finale... Me & the 'mangs" were seated at table no. 19. As usual orang ke bisi datai familiar faces of bala kitai iban in Miri... ti enda kitai sapa agik ngerami ke menua Miri enda pia wai?

Enda salah baka GOH kitai meh, nadai orang bukai ti enda DCM kitai Dtk Patinggi Tan Sri Jabu and wife Datuk Paduka Empiang Jabu officiate the Gawai Celebration ba menua kitai S'wak... aslo present was Dtk Seri Douglas E Unggah, newly elected Lambir YB Ripin Mamat.

Oang bukai sibuk makai, ninga speeches from tuai gawai the newly elected YB of Telang Usan, YB Denis Ngau...followed speech by DAM President, Mr Ellison Ludan... kami sebuat sibuk betundie, ketawa enggau pangan diri & .....photo shooting!

Time GOH meri speech, tambah enggau kecelapan dalam dewan, kami sebuat pan keluar dewan, ngicha ulih ngangat ke isi... datai ba luar... peda di sambut bala kaban enggau ai rimau pulakksss haiiissss... happy amai tudah "aya Manang" di prebit ke orang indu maia beposing ko queen & SaA...Tudah aya Manang nangi ke rusuk tudah biru teberunsai ga ti "laki" bala indu ke enggau begambar bisi meda hahaha tengok la sendiri ..

Udah puas beposing luar, betundie enggau aya Manang, kami mulai kediri ke dalam dewan, agik kucahx2 tudah GOH meri speech... pu jam udah kol 10:20 p.m... Pekit Keling/Kumang bedau ga... udah ga ka pahaiii chelap bala kami... ka pan enda tuak sebutul atas mija nya meh di irup kami sebuat.... nyau sebening head ke enda tan... aku sigi allergic amai ngirup tuak....udah lah ngirup ngena mangkuk cina ke mit, nadai xtra gelas.. aksix2 menarik ngirup ai tuak, ai pengayu... queen tukang chung malam nyO...

At last the moment which everyone have been waiting for...highlight of the night.... tapi sayang nyer... Only Selected Photographers can take the shot!! Ka pan enda ngechuri nyenip gambar bala Keling ke sesigat... tapi semua biakx2.. sayau enda serambau ko kitai... 1st Contestant, my favourite... nasip iya nyadi Keling taun 2011... yang fav. si mang
SaA bulih lumbor 3 hehehe (jgn marah, mata I memang pandai pilih laki hensem) "winks".

My favourite Kumang did not win this time, engka kureng senyum.... anyway this year I like the Kumangs/Keligit stage presentation, ukai kediri aja ba atas stage... sekali keluar in 3 then each person take turn to cat-walk while the other two pose, instead of one person walking on the stage..this also gives judges ample time, better view to judge the best costumes, beauty and style... (i thk so...bedau kala nyadi judge ko kitai)..Gambar tu di ambik ari kamera kaban... kami mupok 12 mid-night nadai ulih nganti result pekit nya... laun amai.... speeches too long! (lain kali tolong pendek kan...anang nganu, just my opinion.....)

Lastly, iEg duduk dedugau meri jako pesan ngagai semua bala dayak, iban ke ka ngintu Hari Gawai kitai iban.. bebelanja meh ala kadar, bayar dulu semua utangx2, loanx2 sebedau mupok ke menua, kereta anang enda ingat service anjung ngagai workshop..assessment rumah bayar dulu, bulan 6 agik panjai, enggai ke duit nyau ambis kena ngintu gawai ba rumah panjai, ba negeri, ti semua loan, utang udah di bayar, pulai ke menua ngintu gawai pan senang ati...pia mega anang enda nyaga image kitai, anang ngirup sampai palau ngunjung ke kitai belaya. Aku besampi minta Petara nyaga, ngelindung kitai ari semua utai jaie, kuasa sitan, penyakit awak ke kitai ulih ngintu, nyambut Hari Gawai Dayak ke ka datai enggau selamat serta di berkat Tuhan... meri Selamat Gawai ngagai semua kaban belayan jauh enggau semak serta nuju semua iban/dayak ke ngintu Gawai taun tu... sapa ke enda ulih ngintu... anang irau iEg bisi nyankong... Selamat Gawai to all. Love iEg.
