2010 CNY is a Tiger Year: “A Year of Strength and Fear”.. Gong Xi Gong Xi Fa Chai!

Next Sunday, February 14 is a very auspicious day. Under the lunar calendar, it is the beginning of the first new moon for the first month of the Chinese calendar, and is also Valentine’s Day, the hearts day celebrated worldwide

2010 Chinese New Year is a year of Tiger. Orang ke ada (born) in the year of a Tiger will have the mentioned traits in their character: Adventurous, sensitive, emotional, and risk-taking; smart, uncomplicated and friendly by nature. They have strong will power and never give-up attitude.

Traditionally, the celebrations for the Chinese New Year last up to fifteen days. During these days, the Chinese wish each other by saying "Kung Hei Fat Choy" which means having a great fortune, or "Kung Hall Sun Hei", which implies happy New Year. During the celebrations, traditions and customs are very carefully observed in everything from food to clothing.

Baka kitai ga bangsa cina, on the Eve of New Year sda mesti begempuru diri sebilik semak ke jauh tetap begulai makai. Traditionally dinner is usually a feast of seafood and dumplings, symbolizing prosperity and good wishes. Chinese New Year Dish includes prawns for liveliness and pleasure, dried oysters for all things good in life, raw fish salad to usher in good luck and prosperity, dumplings boiled in water signifying a long-lost good wish for a family and Fai-hai (Angel Hair), edible hair-like seaweed to bring prosperity for the family. Nyum! Nyum! Sedap amai ti ingat ke lauk-pauk di masak bangsa cina...munyi ko the great Confucius ..“Eating is the utmost important part of life”.

Bangsa tu kuat amai dlm kepercayaan, pantang larang ti sda celebrate new year like: as they enter a new year, they should drop the last year into the silence limbo of the past. Common Chinese New Year Activity includes cleaning the houses from top to bottom, purchasing new clothes, paying off debts, painting their doors and window panes, and even getting new haircuts. Bangsa cina kelia, percaya maia taun baru cina, it brings forth the essence of new life and new hopes.

Chinese people believe that staying awake all night on New Year's Eve would make their aged parents to live a longer and healthier life. (aku baru meh nemu pasal myth tu) mmmmmm anang tinduk kitai ila wai, awak ke apai indai kitai ke udah tuai diatu panjai umur enggau sihat agik!!

"Gold Coin" Plant...ko cina.

Rec’d an email from ex-colleague... pu neh ko aku! Baca kita contents dlm email ke di fwd org suh aku this morning! Ukai ka nakut ke kita, tang samax2 meh kitai wasx2 ko laut! Nya meh ka share enggau kita wai, madik.

Do you have this plant at home? beware of it coz too hazard to health!
Hey frenz...i know u don't read Chinese language but never mind, pls take note coz this is really too alarming to be ignored & i must share w/u guys...
Basically this article warns about the highly poisonous plant as shown below...so pls be aware now that it seems too hazardous to be placed at home, in office or anywhere near our dwelling places!
Apart from the poison in the sap of the leaves which causes irritation, inflamation or swelling of the face & jaw esp those with allergic skin when come into contact, this plant is useless in terms of air purification, absorption of other harmful or even cancer causing gases in the air e.g.CO2, CH2O(Formaldehyde) ? C2-H-Cl3(Trichloroethylene ? ...in fact, even the soil where the plant used to grow would also turn poisonous!

Oh dear! too bad, so sad :( don't u think?....such a nice, strong yet elegant plant liked by many just like myself! Incidentally, the Chinese particualarly loves this plant owing to it's common name "Gold Coin" tree I guess?? & its glamor & popularity are so amazing during CNY time...esp w/little red ribbons ti ed to its branches!
Anyway for now, just to be safe, probably we can only be "distant admirers" of this lovely plant ya!

Nasip meh plant ba rumah aku tu semua nyau ka mati magang, lemai tu sigi muai plants tu... engka aku lebih kuat ari plant tu, nya alai plant tu enggai idup ba rumah aku hahahaha Anyway, Take care...GOD BLESS!
