Indu Iban Moden

Indu iban kemaia ari tu ke ada serta besai ba negeri... bisi pemandai, bisi kerja, bisi laki, bisi anak, bisi rumah, bisi kereta, bisi bisnes, bisi hinpun, iPhone, iPod (eh, mcmx2 semua ada); bisi pemajik....semua utai pemisi ke bisi bangsa indu bukai ke dalam duniatu bisi magang, nadai kurang... kira ke setanding meh kitai indu iban enggau indu bangsa bukai.... Sapa madah kitai indu iban tinggal ari bangsa bukai... ko aku indu kitai iban bisi agik kelebihan ari bangsa indu bukai dalam dunia tu. Pesan berat, kitai indu iban mesti ngeran ke budaya idup kitai iban taja kitai udah ba 21st Century, ka nemu lapa uji peda contoh ke nyata di peda aku.

Bekebun

Aku bisi siko kaban kami ngangau ke iya "mama Nunut", nemu aja bakani pronouciation kitai iban, manahx2 nama anak di beri Jeannette, tau nyadi "nunut"... udah ga anak iya tu cute serta pandai dalam skula ko kaban aku nya nusoi. Aku tu rindu amai meda Mama Nunut tu, udah ga cantik, bisi degree in HR, gawa ba semi-private company (enda tau padah ke nama kumpeni) nyaga nama iya, bisi anak indu 4 orang, cantikx2 baka mummy iya. Taja iya ngemuan degree, bisi kerja tang iya enda baka indu bukai ke kerja beguna ke "sarbis" amah... iya empu mengemas, mersi rumah iya..(rumah iya pun super-clean); dah lah pandai memasak selain ari pandai memasak, ti bisi masa lapang seduai Papa Nunut mesti ke kebun, 45 minutes drive from Miri. Hasil ari tanaman seduai, nya ke jual seduai iya, eeeehhhh lumayan ga ulih kena meli bantes ko iya.. (dah tu ila, ngantik musim durian enggau buah dabai, iya ka madah ke gengx2 ibukx2 bantes ngambik durian enggau buah dabai) aku enggau "Kesulai" aja meh enda enggau orang makai buah durian... kami duai makai buah dabai aja ila. Paling best maia jam "ngetau" harvest.. Mama Nunut mesti terjun ke umai enggau orang ngetau... (aruh beras diatu majak mar, laban org bisi degree ngetau diatu) hehehe jako tundie kami enggau iya... honestly, I salute and give my respect to Mama Nunut who is humble and possess a pleasant personality.

Tu iya "Mama Nunut" maia official dinner, tetap bedandan, cantik bergaya, udah ga tinggi, tubuh numbas iya, enda gemuk enda kurus, tambah enggau senyum cukup manis.... tu meh indu iban penundi, aruh Papa Nunut sayau amai ke bini iya tu.. hehehehe

Bepantang

Siko da kaban @ cuzen aku, sama bisi pemandai serta pemajik, bisi kerja tetap, gawa ba kumpeni minyak terbilang ke bisi lambang "kerubong tekuyung". Cuzen aku tu cukup minat meli serta ngumpul pinggai mangkuk Bantes (barux2 tu iya baru pulai ari KL, ngangkut barang bantes ngamx2 benong SALE), baka kaban aku sikO kangau ke kami "Mama Tupai". Gamal seduai pan serupa, kada enda menyadi, kureng pasti... Masa lapang pulai kerja, laban ke nadai lisin "bejegau", iya nyimpan minat ngaga pua tampung seribu enggau cross-stitch kena mandak ke masa. Sida inik kelia, bisi ga bepantang, ke temu aku sebelah lengan, bisi ga peda aku ba rekong... motif pantang kelia.. ti enda tulisan, bungai terung. Kemaia ari tu, it's in the trend ti orang indu bepantang tang laban ke udah moden, pantang sida ke indu, mostly ba (just below on their right-left shoulder, ba nape, ba punggung, ba betis, ba angkelet), ba rekong bedau bisi peda aku (engka meh aku ila hahaha); kira ke nampak seksi sida bepantang ba partx2 tuboh sida nya. Aku tu laban ke takut ke jarum, kira minat meda aja, tang enda berani... sayau ke kulit, parai ti salah pantang, ukai nyamai di erase .. laba aja meh! Ari iya ke udah ngaga pantang kesulai, nama iya di pindah ke kami Mama Kesulai. Apax2 pun aku tetap salute ngagai Kesulai laban berani mantang tuboh diri... ti kelia, orang laki bepantang laban udah ngayau, tanda berani..amai ke enda, ninga cerita orang tuai. (peda kita gambar pantang cuzen aku tok,cantik kan? senjilis me, apa boleh buat, takut enggau jarum)

Tu iya "Mama Kesulai" beposing alax2 Latin, nurun dinner , taja iya bisi pantang, tapi iya tetap nampak anggun, sopan, manis baka indu iban.. i like! (enda baka org indu sekeda, meda diri bisi pantang alo baka indu samseng, enggai amai mata aku meda, minta ampun auk ukai niat ka nganu sapax2)

Enda amai ko kita wai, pemajik indu iban anang ngelaban (sigi natural beauty) tang kelebihan kitai ari bangsa indu bukai, especially sida ke nemu pengawa bekebun (sayur, buah, lada, sawit), nangkal getah, beumai taun, ni ke nemu nganyam raga, tikai, betenun pua kumbu, ngajat, betaboh, bepantang (bepantang tu exception, kira semua bangsa indu ke berani, enda meh indu kitai iban ka tinggal ari bangsa bukai), sida tu meh patut nyadi "role-model" ngagai bala anakx2 indu (the new generation), they should continue the legacy! We should feel proud that we are born as an iban, we are better off from other races in terms of bekebun, beumai, main asal, as we are blessed ari penatai asal kitai (rumah panjai) ari nya kitai nemu pengelandik, di peturun ari sida niang aki & inik. Arap ke indu iban kemaia ari tu, no matter how moden, ngemuan pemandai bisi diploma, degree, PhD, whatever profession kitai indu iban (either in corporate world, business or politics) ba mata dunia, we should uphold and project our real identity by not forgetting our origins and bring that special identity to the world.
Let the new generation (indu iban) move forward and dare to be different from other women globally.

November Rain & Sunshine..

How time flies... we are in the month of November.

Amai lama aku enda update blog... busy amai and furthermore fed-up with the lagging of internet each time when come to upload pictures from home, it took me ages!! Nyau lembau asai ka update blog, What does November brings? I certainly have "ups and downs", i think it's normal in life. Life are not "bed of roses" after all, baka weather ba bulan November tu, bisi ujan, bisi ga mata panas... *sigh*.

One door close, Another door open... 1st Week of November (4.11.2010)

The long awaiting news from office, is to terminate our contract end of this year, as I expected I would be the one, knowing I was the Last person recruit to the sub-surface Team, I was not shocked, at the management decision, it's a normal practice... what can I say, I just have to accept the "fate", what a fateful day! After a long thought and heart to heart talk with suluati (I thanked suluati who have been a good listener, understanding, caring and promise to be at my side in bad and good times), he believes there are better opportunities out there and greener pastures; trusts that God close one door, and open another door for me. I leave everything to God Almighty divine hands, He knows what's best for His children. If He can feed the birds in the sky, would he want to see His children suffer??

Best Student Awards to Achievers for year 2010...(6.11.2010)
Attended my daugther's school end of year activity, Best Student Awards, my daughter one of the achievers received 3 Awards that morning. Thank God for all the achievements that my daughter had achieved throughout her school days, next year she'll be in Form 5 Science 1... how time flies, it was like yesterday I send her off to Tadika, wearing her white-purple dress, with her ponytail.. she's so adorable. Mummy is so proud of her,being my one and only daughter and will always be my little princess!!!

Work commitment over everything else.. (7.11.2010)

When come to work, it's suluati 1st priority in life; eventhough deep down his heart ,I knew he misses me and so do I, he was onshore for few days but had to stay at KK "on standby basis" before departing to Indonesia for tour of duty! I could have gone to KK if I have not received the unfavourable news from office, I was not in the mood to go anywhere, feeling rather upset, and he understood my situation, since we had agreed to give his work priority over everything else, munyi ko suluati, "kada org agik beguna ke kitai, kerja aja meh, ti aku cuti, ila meh aku begulai enggau sulu..,arap sulu besabar ngantik penatai aku taun depan ko tudah tuai" sinu ga ninga serbana!! (sabar meh aku tu sulu); I wish my suluati well while carryout his daily tasks & responsibilities; May God continue to bless him wherever he is and protect him from dangers, sickness, may our dear Lord Jesus keep him save at all times, till we meet again next year 2011, my sweetheat, my Love. "It'was like a dream..." (9.11.2010)
.. it has been ages we've not been in contact with one another, I only came to know her whereabout through FaceBook, through another childhood friend. We didn't plan, suddenly I rec'd a called from her, I was over joy when I heard that she's in Miri, she told me she's at Parkson, so I told her that I'll meet her after office. So at around 5:30 p.m. we met.. apa agik we huged each other, nadai peduli ke orang meda, laban udah kelalu rindu enggau pangan diri, the last time we were together, we were still studying back in 1980's.. now her eldest child aged 23 years old and her hubby just passed away last December 2009. Just imagine, pengelama kami duai enda kala betemu enggau pangan diri. She's coverted as she was married to a muslim Bruneians, tang iya tetap enda sombong, we chat & chat, so many to tell, but so little time, as she had to rushed to her aunty house at Permy Jaya and back to Kuala Belait before 10:00 p.m... (agik stidi jako iban iya, anak tuai iya paham cimit jako iban, ke biak enda paham, ketawa aja iya ninga aku bejako iban, aku agik ga paham jako Brunei tang lidah nyau enggai nyadi bai bejako Brunei)..it was like a dream when two childhood met after so many years separated!! We do changed alot...I used to refer her as "sue allen", who acted in one of my favourite TV series Dallas..!!

Got "Neb" for 2nd time... 2nd week of November. (11.11.2010)
..ko jako ka ngambik stok ubat batuk & flu ari Dr Noor pagi ari 4 tu tadi, ngemaiOh nya ga org ke sakit, sejam lebih ngantik ba luar, nyau ka putus asa asai... maia betemu enggau Dr, maia Dr nanya aku, Dr Noor udah nemu ari cara aku nyuat iya, she can tell thru' my breathing enda brapa sihat because of the bad flu I had, 3 pagi beturut-turut flu & batuk cimit... laban kehabisan stok ubat, ko dlm ati ka enggai madah ke Lutor, "eh! jangan pandaix2 mau jumpa Dr ujung minggu, dah lah cuaca sik bagus, sik ada ubat, jangan mainx2.... mesti jumpa Dr" (senyum aja ninga jako Lutor), baru angkat ka keluar, alo padah Lutor, Jangan keluar dulu.. mesti kena "Neb" before your cough got serious!! akaiiii raiii ko dlm ati din, tu ke malas aku... mau tak mau paksa meh di "neb"...*sigh*!

...to end 2nd week of November, I realised I begin to love 'cardiO' fitness & dance, eventho this week I only went once due to health, so next week I must go full swing to make up last week; and got my hair trimmed (cutting the edges of my hair which is so dry due to hair-color) but still maintain the length; and just now we had our ngajat class, supposed to be our last "ngajat class" for 2010; so far cikgu ngajat was quite impressed by our steps and movement today, we're getting there, just need to fine tuning... tu mesti belajar kediri ba rumah, ti enda gerenti enda ingat hehehe... till we meet again 2011 for our "ngajat class", what I like about ngajat session organised by SIDS is that I am able to meet new friends. Thanks wai KS you have brought me in to join SIDS and many thanks to wai Sebugey who have been very supportive towards all SIDS members and wishes her pleasant trip & good holiday to Kuching & KL...May God bless all of us. Amen.

Aku tu laun datai lemai nya... nya nadai sempat enggau sida nuip candle... anyway, my prayer goes to little Onell, that our Lord Jesus will keep him safe every minute & second and bless him with all the good things in life; and bless his parents, inik who take care of him everyday.

Priests Appreciation Night 30.10.2010

Saturday, 30th October 2010, St Columba Parish organise a dinner @ Mega Hotel in appreciation for our Priests who has been our frontliner for St Columba Church. I attended with my daughter as she had to perform with the Youth Extension St Columba Church, Tmn Tunku group.

"Priests are human like us, they have feelings, they want to have friends, they have problems, they need us to pray and talk to them too.. What have we done for them, we only need them when we want them to pray for us when there are weddings, engagement, house-warming, when we are sick, dying etc.. etc... how many of us have ask the Priests or their family members to join us for a cup of coffee, for lunch, dinner??" these statement or speech was delivered by our sub-deacon Augustine, an eye-opener to all. All these while I always wandering can we treat our priests or their family members, I've always indoubt about it. Eventho, I've this instinct that we should treat them well as they are our "intercessor" between us and God. If we could not eat together with God or Jesus in person to show our appreciation for the blessings & love we get everyday, we can always ask our Priets or their family to eat with us, enda pia ko kita wai? Minta ampun ngagai bala Priets laban nadai kala ingat ke kita maia senang, udah tu ila ingat, nadai salah ga mai kita makai... ingat ke jako sub-deacon Augustine, it really open my heart, mind and eyes ko kitai... we should not neglect the most important people in our community and our life.

Guests were entertained by Youth Extension Centre Tmn Tunku which include my daughter in the group, Women Fellowship Miri, Women & Men Fellowship Tmn Tunku also perform that night while dinner was served. Besides, that slideshow from Holy Trinity, Lambir; very comical yet those being interviewed candidly expressing their appreciation to the 3 Priests..from the interview we can know who's who among the 3 priests, each of them have their own strength and gifted abilities from God. A token of appreciation were given to the "three wise men" (priests), Women Fellowship Miri headed by Madam Shirley (Mrs Alfred Damu) followed by Holy Trinity, Lambir and Extension Tmn Tunku presented that night, in return the three Priets sang two gospels songs thanking those who have made the dinner a success and felt grateful by the appreciation given to them, the dinner ended 11:30 p.m.
Samax2 meh kitai diatu berunding ke jako subdeacon Augustine.. kala kitai mai Priets and family makai or kitai indu mai bini Priests for a cup of coffee?? (sori laun mantai ke topic tu, laban ke enda nemu kati ka madah ti pasal Priests, takut salah jako, ti bisi salah jako, salah erti aku nusun jari sepuluh minta ampun ari kita ke macha blog aku). Baka bini Father Alfred Damu, Shirley lama dah aku ngelala iya, ari kami duai samax2 kerja Samling, iya ngelala, betemu enggau Father Alfred pan aku nemu, maia duai kawin, bisi aku kena jemput.. kati tau enda ingat neey, feel bad, ila ulih ngiga Shirley for a cup of tea. Nasip sempat bposing enggau Shirley malam nya.

Minta Tuhan merkat pengidup enggau pengerindu kitai enggau pangan diri. Amen.
